We would like to thank the filmmakers, attendees, volunteers and sponsors for our most successful FirstGlance Hollywood event in our history!
With multiple sellout shows and great audiences all weekend long, we broke attendance records as well as had our most successful online contest with thousands of people viewing 25 short films!
We appreciate the support of indie filmmakers, for making our festivals possible and we hope to see you all in upcoming events.
We handed out 30 awards over the weekend to our Official Selections and will be announcing the BEST of the Fest and the highest rated films in each category as voted by the audience on our website.

We are currently calling for entries for our Short and Feature Script Competitions and look forward to having the opportunity to read some amazing scripts, both in the short and feature contests.

We are one of the most well-respected screenplay competitions, and one of the only totally "GREEN" events with over 200 Reams of paper saved over the past three years.
We are looking forward to a big announcement about our 12th annual FirstGlance Film Fest Philly. Philadelphia's Independent Film Festival since 1996!
Plans for our Fall Online Short Contest will begin around September 15th
And our Philadelphia Event is scheduled for October 22-25th 2009

FirstGlance Short Online Contest Winner!!
Online Distribution
Now that the contest is over, if you are interested in online distribution, let us know.
In the coming weeks, we will be launching on our site the ability to offer your title in a secure download to dvd technology created by one of the leaders in MPEG technology for PC and MAC. Consumers can purchase your short film or create their own compilation DVD and watch it in full definition on their home entertainment center.
It is a no-cost, non exclusive contract and you can profit from every download of your title.
We are also negotiating for Ipod and PSP compatible downloads as well, which would allow you to profit from 3 different download platforms.

Welcome to the FirstGlance Film Fest 9 Hollywood Online Community!
We are proud to announce that we had a record number of entries and we have a record number of shorts that will be part of our online contest beginning on March 10th and running for 6 weeks!
If you are a FirstGlance Official Selection and already have a login to Bside you can watch, vote and help decide the winner that will be shown during our closing night screening and win over $2000.00 in prizes.
We look forward to a great festival with over 30 award winning films, including Robert Pattison in our Saturday May 2 Twilight Showing of "HOW TO BE" a feature film he starred in before "Twilight". We also have the honor to be presenting over 20 Premieres, including the Los Angeles Premiere of "Chasing the White Dragon" by FirstGlance Alumnus Kathylynn Phillips, starring an amazing performance by Amanda Ward, an up and coming star. An amazing premiere feature "Saving God" starring Ving Rhames, and "Balancing the Books" with Leah Thompson and a great ensemble cast.
Our short program showcases talent from around the globe, including the last performance from Brad Renfro, before his untimely passing, Ian Ziering in a surprisingly dramatic short, and some great performances from children in "Gone Fishing", "Light Years" and "Alba"
Did you ever think "Connect Four" could bring together people from across the globe...think again, our documentary features are the most entertaining documentaries you'll see at any film festival.
From Hollywood to Bollywood and beyond, FirstGlance will entertain you from music videos, to animation, and features to shorts, directed by industry veterans and first time student directors from every corner of the globe and directors from every background, religion, ethnicity and country.
